Nutrition plays an important role in your pets’ overall health but with all the pet food choices on the market, it is hard to know which food, and how much, is right for your pet. There are many factors that affect your pets’ nutritional needs such as, age, breed, activity level/lifestyle, as well as many medical conditions that may develop as they get older.

 

During your pet’s physical exam our veterinarians will discuss your pet’s nutritional needs with you and answer any questions you may have.  If your pet has special dietary needs or just needs to gain or lose a few pounds, we can help you pick a diet that will keep your pet in good health and achieve those weight goals! We can offer suggestions for different feeding practices should your pet be a "picky eater", or maybe they eat too fast!

We carry a wide variety of different veterinary prescription diets, such as Royal Canin Veterinary Diet, Hills Prescription Diet, and Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets. These diets can be used to treat or prevent many different medical conditions.  We can also help you navigate your local pet store and make some suggestions as to which diet would best benefit your pet.
